7. It's hard to find that kind of discussion on LJ, and it's one of the things I really miss from my messageboarding days. You might want to try Barbelith (http://www.barbelith.com/) if you can get past the eye-vomiting design, or Cafe Society (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/forumdisplay.php?s=c690c6c3d09c52af93290c6f5267945a&f=13) at SDMB if you feel like coughing up the cash.

10. I've never had that either. I just... think of a situation, and think of how the character(s) would react to it, and then (this is the hard part) muck around with the dialogue and inner thoughts until it sounds about right, and... that's it. Plus, I seem to have been the only person in all of fandom who never made up stories about fictional characters before being exposed to fanfiction.
