Actually, it really is. OSC told me once that writer's block means that you wrote something into the story that didn't belong there, and the only way to get around it is to fix it; he certainly had a point. But it could also mean that the imagination hasn't been fed enough and requires new experiences, reading, new thoughts. Or it could just be that the brain's gotten lazy and needs to be made to exercise.


I also guess it depends on if you write simply for fun or not. But just waiting for inspiration to strike is a good way to get out of practice.
