Hee hee, me too! The thing is, though, that I'm reeeally liking it and I've only read the first two acts. I haven't gotten to the weird gray people that everyone seems to like the series for. I've been procrastinating on reading more because I'm kind of afraid that it will get worse, because nobody ever seems to talk about the four main characters from the first two acts, whom I really like, and they always say that the first two acts aren't any good. so if the comic changes and my favorite characters go away forever and the gray people become the focus I don't know if I'll still keep liking it... :\

Don't worry, your favorite characters are still there! And they continue to be awesome. :B It's nice to know there are other people who love the first few acts also and do not think they are boring. ♥

As someone who had the exact same fear one or two weeks ago, let me assure you that the four kids stay the main characters of the story :) The new characters become the focus only during the first part of act 5, and after they share screentime with the kids, but you should have come to like them as well by this time. I didn't care for the trolls at first either, I was reading only for the kids.

I think maybe you haven't been looking in the right places because fandom loves loves loves the kids and most of the really popular "gray people" are popular mostly because they have a lot of interaction/character development via the kids (not 100% true for all parts of fandom, but mostly true).

So don't worry. The comic changes a bit, but the kids are still the focus. ♥
