Seek help on the 'avoid emotions', or at least try to face up to your emotions. Applying logic/etc isn't wrong, or bad, though--there are a lot of people who are like that, and it really isn't too much of a problem, as long as you don't 'run away from' emotion, and as long as you keep in mind that other people aren't the same way. And the 'I don't believe it unless you prove it to me' isn't really wrong or annoying, some people are like that.

My problem with fHawke was that she seems like a typical alpha male in all the relationships s/he gets in, which was a little jarring for me. Before people jump on me, it's possible to be a strong character in a relationship- male or female- without going all out standard alpha male dominate errybody grrr I am king of mountain. FShep didn't have the same issue... all imho ofc.

I don't think that's too much of a problem, though? I mean, it's online, in fandom, and part of what makes fandom so awesome is that no one knows who you are, and you can create whatever type of person you want to represent you.

In the first book, I alternated between finding him interesting and extremely boring. I'm on the second book now and he bores me to tears, almost to the point where I want to just skip his chapters.

For some reason, he's also significantly less interesting to me in the show. So, yep. Agreed.
