This secret reminds me so much of a friend of mine and myself in my younger years. It's normal to have a connection to something fictitious because we can relate to them. Like a real person, it's not about what's necessarily in front of us, it's how we resolve our issues.

My therapist once told me that we grow and change as individuals. We learn how to adapt to new situations when we feel ready to face them. There really isn't a wrong way of coping or facing problems. It's how we face them and some are just faster at learning how than others. It took me over fifteen years to figure it out.
