Oh God, I'm dealing with this right now, except with my mom of all people. I just got her into Battlestar Galactica and I watched the first few episodes with her and every few minutes she'd ask me "does he die? "does she die?" "do they find Earth?" "do they find out about Baltar?" "do Starbuck and Apollo get together?" I had to tell her I couldn't watch anymore with her because she asks questions more than she actually watches the show and then I have to tell her what happened because she wasn't paying attention and was instead grilling me on what was going to happen later. She STILL calls me while she's watching and asks me about stuff that I have to tell her JUST WAIT AND SEE. It would be one thing if she just wanted to know a couple of things, but she basically wants me to just verbally tell her the entire BSG story and I'm thinking, what's the point of watching it at all then?
