Oh, I'm not saying it's the same. I'm saying it might explain why the OP is having such an unusually strong reaction to it. Of course I'm not OP, so I do not know what their particular situation is. Nor do I know what specifically motivated them to make that particular comparison.

Rather, what bothered me that because of the wording there is a lot of negativity towards the poster, but that doesn't mean they might not actually be in a sticky situation with the person who confessed their love (albeit not the same as assault).
