MCF! Yes! I love those. Or I did, until they got more and more complex, to the point where my lame-ass computer has trouble playing them... [sigh] It really sucks because if there ever do a third Ravenhearst game, I'm not sure I'll be able to play it. And given that the second one ended with kind of a cliffhanger... ~_~

I also like the Samantha Swift games, ever play any of those? And Blue Tea; that's a company; I like their stuff. It's not the typical Hidden Object stuff. In Enlightenus II, instead of finding objects, you had a series of objects that you put into the scene, or that interact with it (paint the blank canvas, give the gorilla a banana, etc). And in another ("Dark Parable: The Exiled Prince", based on "The Frog Prince", but incorporating other fairy tales), you find parts of an object you're looking for, like keys and tiaras and potion bottles. Plus there are puzzles and stuff, of course.

Wow, I could go on and on... I want someone to squee with about this stuff, man!

Yay, another fan =D Aw man, I still haven't finished the second Ravenhearst game or the latest one in the series T_T (so behind on new hidden object games). Ah, I feel your pain regarding the lame-ass computer XD Not like we need high-tech graphics to enjoy a game.

Oh, I think I played one of the Samantha Swift games, but I prefer games with darker atmosphere and a mystery to unravel. Ah, but Enlightenus II and Dark Parable sounds just like the kind of game I like, a combination of puzzle and hidden object games. Have you played Drawn: The Painted Tower and its sequel? Gorgeous artwork and very interactive scenes, sort of dark fairy tale type. Another awesome one is Hidden Secrets: The Nightmare. What about games like Azada?

I know! It's so hard to find people that are into this kind of games. All my friends are pretty much only into JRPGs and MMOs. High-five!

Re: Ravenhearst: Oh, whoops! Well I did say "kind of". I was trying not to be too spoilery...

Not like we need high-tech graphics to enjoy a game.

Heh... If I ever decided to get a better computer, it'd largely be to play games. Not just the capacity to play them, but more storage for them, as well.

Re: Samantha Swift: Ahh, I can see that. I loves me some dark, twisted, scary stuff, but sometimes I like lighter stuff, as well. I have some that are kinda like travelogues ("Big City Adventures", featuring places like San Francisco and New York), one where you're selling stuff at a yard sale to beautify your garden ("Gardenscapes"), and one based on Alice in Wonderland ("Fiction Fixers: Alice in Wonderland"). I'm mentioning the names for anyone else reading this who might be interested in them. (-:

I think you'll like "Enlightenus II" and "Dark Parables". There are two "Dark Parables" games; I'm not as fond of "Briar Rose" as I am of "Exiled Prince" (I played an hour-long trial of it).

I'd also like to recommend "Nightfall Mysteries: The Asylum Conspiracy" and "Blood Oath". Yes, "Blood Oath" is about vampires, which puts some people off, and the names are kinda twee ("Dakota"? "Lamb-Raleigh"? ... "Tristan"? Who ever heard of a vampire king named "Tristan"!?!), but I really enjoy it, anyway. As for NF:AS: I like it so much, I've actually considered writing fanfic for it. I still might. (-:

I played the hour-long trial of "Drawn", but it was kinda slow on my computer. I must have liked it, though, I'm sure I played the whole hour.

"Hidden Secrets"! I like that one! Even if I figured out what had happened pretty early on... (-:

Oh, wow, I played Azada awhile ago (again, the 1-hour trial--I love those), and... I think I kinda liked it. I'd have to give it another try.

Yeah, the person I usually talk to about fandom stuff isn't even into video games... But, yay, this is fun! [high-five!]

Haha, no worries, it wasn't too spoilery. Though now I really want to finish it.

Same here *cough*LegoHarryPotter*cough* Although I love those pixel-y old school style games. 3D games make me kinda dizzy.

I think part of why I like dark games better is because tinted objects are easier to blend, so the scenes look better XD But really, I love dark atmospheres, though I agree that lighter stuff is a nice break from murders, curse, etc.

Thanks for the recommendations! My to-play list is getting longer and longer every week; I should take a break from my 30+ hour visual novel to try out some of them =D (and oh man, is it kinda lame that I like the name Tristan? XD it's pretentious as hell, but it sounds perfect for a vampire king)

Ooh, fanfic for a hidden object game would be so cool. I'd love to read it.

You probably played the Dream Chronicles series already, right? What did you think? The person I talk to about fandom stuff (and yaoi) is only into this series of hidden object games, so it's pretty cool to talk to someone who's played more of them.
