Tells me that the OP is not just avoiding men herself because she finds being around them triggering and realized that this is a PROBLEM that she should work on. She is actively dicouraging other women from having meaningful relationships with men because in her experience they tend to be mean. That IS ignorant and hateful. I have a male co-worker who can't stand to be around women because in his experience they've all hurt and abused him, but he realizes that it's not right and would never encourage other people to stop associating with women or say things like "All women are abusive".
