Kind of agree. I'm going to deck the next person who calls me their fucking moirail with my brain. Because physical assault ain't cool, but visualizing is almost gratifying.

I like troll romance terms as shorthand for fictional relationships, but I would be so disturbed if someone called me their moirail, because aaaaaaaaugh no. If we're going to use 'moirail' for any friendship that has any vague meaning then it's pointless, and if we're going to use it canonically-correctly that is really disturbing

For HS stuff, yeah. Being able to write out, say, Karkat♦Kanaya or going into some long diatribe about why Terezi♠Vriska is SO GOOD WHY CAN'T ANYONE ELSE SEE WHAT I SEE and have people in the fandom immediately know what you mean is mega fun.

Just. Just don't apply to it actual people when there are actual, albeit multiple words you can use to describe what you genuinely think of someone. I think "flushed" is the only thing that sounds nice or semi-folksy irl though.
