To be honest, I kind of like them as odd siblings rather than a full pairing. I hope that they don't get together.

I dunno, I'd rather they didn't. I mean, I see it! I totally do, but.. I like the Five + Po just being one cohesive unit (finally!) and kicking ass together as equals. I can appreciate them sharing a bond different from the others but I wouldn't want them together, honestly.

sure, it'd be cute, but isn't it a little cliche? i mean, i'm sure it could happen and i'd be happy regardless, but i think they fit a little better as friends-as-close-as-siblings than a pairing.

If they make it canon, I don't think I'll be able to enjoy the franchise any longer. Cliche, wtf-inducing, and btw cliche. (Clumsy, socially-awkward but somehow still awesome chubby male lead winds up in a relationship with the coolest female there, and she's an aloof professional type on top of it all.)

That'd certainly be a first. I've never seen a cross-species anthropomorphic animal romance in a blockbuster family film. Or anywhere, really.

Okay, give me Disney examples. All I've ever seen from them is foxes with foxes, bears with bears, ducks with ducks, Goofy with Goofies etc...

The only thing that comes to my mind are the weird animal-aliens from Treasure Planet. The captain - who was a cat-like thing - and the docotr who was a ... Goofy-type thing *g*

I think those were the same species, though. They had a litter successfully anyway. (I'm putting waaayyyy too much thought into this.)

WAIT! I just thought of a pairing! Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog! Oh, how stupid of me not to remember those two. Talk about the romance of the ages.

-Crocodiles with hippos and ostriches (kinda, haha)

The Great Mouse Detective
-No specific relationships in this movie, but the bat, lizards, etc oogling the stripper mouse is seen as normal

-Human to Merperson (if that counts)and in Peter Pan the Lost Boys even wear fursuits! :P
Beauty and the Beast (before he turned human again)
-Beast on human
-Candlestick on feather-duster (and clock XD)

-Terk the Gorilla had some feelings towards Tarzan

-Amelia (a cat alien) and Doppler(a dog alien)

-Hints of Mittens (cat) to Bolt (dog)... well, I shipped it anyway.

If these franchise isn't over soon, I'll be even more disappointed. These films are awful. Dreamworks is a shitty rip-off of Pixar, with a couple exceptions

No, most things with Jack Black are abominations. Did you SEE what he did with "Gulliver's Travels"?

"Gulliver's Travels" being a horrible piece of crap doesn't automatically make every other film with Jack Black a horrible piece of crap. Is it the only bad movie he's done? No. But does it mean no movie with Jack Black can be good? No. I find your reasoning specious, and it sounds like your anti-Dreamworks stance is colouring your viewpoint as well.

I don't like Jack Black either, but I loved Kung Fu panda (and Shark Tale, which is a really bad movie, even I'll admit). I think he's easier to stomach as a cuddly panda than as himself.

I don't really want to see them together. It would, as other commenters have said, be pretty cliche -- the lead male getting with the only main female character. But I would like to know some more of Tigress' story, so maybe in the third one we can learn some more about her past.

Well, in terms of main female characters, there's also Viper (although yeah, Tigress has had more screentime).

Mostly, though, I wanted to say I love your icon to pieces.

I think it could be cute either way. either as a couple, or as best friends. After all tigress seems to be a fierce defender of anyone in her group, Po being the less experience one, so the one she looks after the most. Though, honestly, i'm thinking Po might be getting a panda girfriend in the future, all things considered. Animals kinds don't seem to mix a lot in the story, probably to avoid bizarre squick factors for parents.

If Tigress doesn't get a movie that centers around her, I'll be incredibly disappointed.
