I hate this WHOLE fucking story line so god damned much. There is NOTHING about it that doesn't make me want to kick Stephen Moffat in the balls. What the fucking fuck is he thinking?

Oh, and the baby is River, what a shock... [rolls eyes] Is that supposed to make us feel better about Amy being held prisoner for several months and being treated as nothing more than a fucking incubator? Because it really. Fucking. Doesn't. Granted, part of that is that I don't really like River much anyway, but I'd hope that even her ardent fans don't find the ends (River was born!) justify the means. Oh, and for the record: Having one of the main villains be female doesn't make it any less fucked up, either.

Please let this goddamn story line end soon and let us get back to a show that's fun, not one that's so incredibly fucked up I can barely stand to watch it.

Agreed, I thought Amy was less involved this season. Turns out Moffat's only using her as a plot device now.

I could potentially really like a mother daughter connection between Amy and River. They seemed to get along really well earlier and now they have the whole 'so this is what my mother was like when she was younger, this is who my daughter grows up to be' relationship. But I don't know... the whole thing looks like it going to end up pretty tragic because it doesn't seem like River grew up with Amy and Rory parenting her.

So much this. I had so many problems with this episode that I barely know where to begin. As many problems as the RTD era had, I never once watched in such horror that I thought of never tuning in again. That whole end scene has real potential to take the few redeeming qualities River had and turn her into a psychological cliche of daddy and abandonment issues. Not cool.

And given what we've seen the little girl... I just don't think this story is going anywhere good. And given that this is about child abduction, that seems really wrong to me. It's fucked up enough already, let's not add "Amy and Rory don't get their child back" to that.
