Ha, actually, amazon did something like this with, I believe, Sherlock Holmes books where they deleted them off of people's kindles and folks flipped even though the money was credited back.

If I remember right, they also did it with some erotica (I think it was incest-related). They had it in the Kindle store, decided it violated their terms, and deleted it not only from the store but from people's Kindles.

That's partly why I don't connect my Kindle directly to Amazon. I doubt any of my stuff would be deleted on my behalf, but I'd still rather keep as much control as possible.
