(Anonymous) 2011-06-13 08:57 am (UTC)(link)But yes, I did ask her at first if she'd at least not do it while I was sleeping. Her first language wasn't English, so I wasn't sure if she understood. I asked someone to translate it for her though. Yet she continued, so I resorted to banging and occasional yelling hoping she'd understand that.
I wouldn't have minded so much if they were different songs, but she would pick one song and play it on repeat over and over again like 30 times. I assume she was trying to learn the words, but FFS that shit will drive you crazy! Ironically, she was the one fuming in silence. Apparently she didn't appreciate my complaints and thought I was a bitch. If I had gotten more sleep I probably wouldn't have been as cranky lol.
I'm sorry about your roommate. I can't stand passive aggressive people and I try my hardest to be as direct as possible so there's no misunderstandings. I'll even try to preemptively ask if what I'm doing is bothering someone around me to try and avoid future blow ups. Funny thing is some people STILL say they were ok with it at the time, but then get mad later.
