Yeah, because the shit scripts in S3 and the shit directing were all *her* fault. Right. Froggatt's a far better actress than she was allowed to be in RH - and, just like David Harewood, was fucking criminally underused. The chopping and changing done behind the scenes by the S3 producers is more to blame than she is, ffs.

What makes you think the OP was dissing Froggatt? S/he called the character a monstrosity, not the actress, and I have to agree. Froggatt may well be a great actress (haven't seen her in anything else, so I wouldn't know), but Kate sucked IMO.

Late to the party, but yeah - it wasn't a dig at JF. I started watching Downton right on the heels of Robin Hood S3 and seeing them so close together made it hard to separate the characters in my head. Any second I expected Anna to start screeching about her dead bruvvah.

Long before seeing either show I saw JF in "Murder in the Outback" and she was great.

Anna is one of my faves, despite how much I disliked Kate. If anything, I think it will probably redeem Kate for me slightly by liking Anna so much. LOL.
