Me too. I think Jared has said before that he wants Sam to die in the end, because nothing else would feel quite right, or like a real ending.

I just want it to end. They said it was going to end with the sixth season, those lying liars, and I want it to be over before the writers botch it up so badly that it gets cancelled. Because--let's face it--shows don't end anymore: they get cancelled. ):

I've always worried that's how it would all end. I just want them to make it out of the series finale alive, otherwise the show will just be too sad to rewatch and I love it so much. If one or both dies in the end I swear my TV and SPN paraphernalia are being thrown out my window. haha

There's a part of me that agrees, but it will DESTROY me. There's a reason I get teary-eyed at "surely heaven waits for you" in "Carry On Wayward Son." I feel like that'd be the kindest thing, really. UGH.

Yep. I want them to die in a blaze of light, saving the world once and for all - together. And then the smallest ending scene... something like:

- Dean opens his eyes and sees Sam, and Castiel appears, saying something like 'my Father is waiting to meet you'... and then Dean sees Castiel's wings and makes some inappropriate comment,
- a little kid almost dies, but is saved by what looks like the ghosts of two men, or
- years later, a couple of young hunters refer to the legend of the Winchester brothers.

I love those ideas - as heartbreaking as it would be to rewatch the whole lot knowing they die, it just somehow seems right. Especially like the first idea. Ending the show with Dean being a smartass even in heaven would be...kinda perfect.
