I was honestly thinking the same thing. What kind of school takes rumours [easily proven false, if OP wasn't actually a cutter] as a substantial reason to suspend a student?

I guess it depends on the school. Me and a friend almost got suspended because one of our nasty classmates decided she wanted to quit school in year 9 (the lowest age you can quit in this country is year 10). So instead of simply telling the principal she wanted to quit. She made up this horrible story that me and my friend were bullying her and had been doing so since primary school. Even though we had barely even talked to her in our lives. But did the principal believe us? Noooooo.

To this day, I still don't know why she picked us two to pin the blame on.
