I think it's pretty fair for slash fans to get defensive when the OP literally says she hates that her fandoms are dominated by slash fans.

This isn't some cosmic order shit where if a fandom has an assload of m/m fics, the m/f fics magically decreases. You solve a lack of het by getting people that like het writing about it, not pointing at slash fans and telling them to stop writing what they like because it's too much.

This is not (http://fandomsecrets.livejournal.com/profile)fandomorders (http://fandomsecrets.livejournal.com/), it's fandomsecrets. The secret literally makes ZERO value judgments about slash except that it's copious and not what OP wants.

Maybe I've been here for too long because the constant reading of every complaint as a personal affront, which then inevitably becomes a SOCIAL AFFRONT, is becoming lolarious lately.

I didn't say OP herself was giving orders to other people. I said that due to how the secret was worded, it was fair for people to see it as an attack. That might not have been what I got from the secret, but I understand why other people would read it that way.

On my end, what I lolarious is people complaining about lack of het, then slipping in some comment about how it's due to people writing too much slash and not noticing het.

Because the secret doesn't say "I wish my fandom produced more het fics" - and stop there. The existence of slash has no bearing on the amount of het produced; it's not like people are writing slash because the Internet ran out of het space. So why was it brought into the wording?
