that's what i've heard too. i want one on my ankle but if it hurts the worst i may have to rethink placements lol

Speaking as a wuss who hates pain, ankles aren't too bad. Especially the inside of your ankle, compared to the outside (where the bone is closer to the skin). Mine's on the inside of my ankle :)

I've got one on the outside of my ankle, and how it positioned itself, only a bit went on the actual bone. It honestly didn't take long for it to go numb, so you don't really feel it anymore aside from the vibrations.

If you're new to tattoos, I recommend going with maybe an mp3 player and a stress squeeze ball to keep yourself occupied with. ^-^
