The histronics in some parts of the fandom has gotten a little ridiculous (accusing the writers of being homophobic because Arthur and Merlin aren't actually gay? Huh?); thankfully my little corner is still wonderfully sane.

I must be hanging out in the wrong places cause I never see the wank in fandom. It's like when I heard the particular Arthur/Gwen comm that got super senstitive over other ships. I found out a year later :/ where are these places????

Haven't watched the show since the first series, and haven't been involved with the fandom since then. Even back when the first series was on TV though there were some particular members of the Merlin lj comms that I avoided like the plague because they were always spouting something. They were in the minority, but they tended to be het shippers, which made the other saner and nicer het shippers look bad.
