I love how usually these secrets imply that the not-real guys are these perfect, Prince Charming-y dreamboat types and yours are mostly goofballs... just cause that's exactly how I feel, too. I mean, I do think I'll eventually fall in love with a real dude but during the stage where I thought I would, it was always that sort that made me feel that way, not the EdwardCullenesque.

Not necessarily. I'm in my late 30s and have a decent social life. I've had boyfriends, but I've never been in love. There are no guarantees and it doesn't happen for everyone.

Anyway, I sometimes feel the same way, but don't give up on real guys yet! It's a good thing though that the characters you like don't have much in common, so you're not likely to become fixated on only a rigid type.

But it does takes two to tango. I don't think you've ever been in love. Perhaps lust or infatuation. Not love though. That does require give and take. One day you'll experience it and it'll blow your mind. Then you'll look back on this thought and laugh because it's ridiculous.

True, but I would say the vast majority do experience it at least once in their lifetime. It may not be everlasting and it's more probable it'd be short lived. Point being a one-sided relationship is not the same as being involved in a relationship where the other person is aware and gives back.
