I stopped surfing Gateworld, but SGA fans are very much alive online. I'm always seeing icons, discussions, and even fanart where I least expect it.

Exactly. There's Gateworld, which is fine, but that's not the fandom that I seek. I seek and, as you say, find, all kinds of good stuff out there, the fandom seems alive and well and and producing from the heart of each fan. New writers are showing up all the time, only recently Candlebeck started writing SGA, much to my delight and pleasure.

Hell, it's the same with SG-1. I see new people getting into it all the time!

I think the only reason people don't realize that the SG fandom is still kicking despite the second spin-off show being a massive FAILURE is because we're generally not as loud/iconic as Trek or Wars.

But I don't think SG fans ever were (until SGU fans). It always seemed to me like we're those people who'll sit in a corner xD

And yeah, gateworld...I don't even read news there anymore since the "Don't say anything bad about SGU" policy. :D
