In the series, dragons are extinct, so this is a spoiler that the character's fossilized dragon egg hatches in the finale. As far as spoilers go, it's not a bfd. The real spoiler is how they hatch.

Yeah, seriously.

Maybe I'm biased as a book reader, but most non-readers I know seemed to pick up on the fact that the dragons would hatch after the fiftieth ~lingering close up~

Also the title of the latest installment in the series being "A Dance With Dragons" might be a clue for readers/watchers early on that a some point there would be dragons.

Also, the dragon art on everything.

Also, that character being from a house that routinely rode dragons.

And those being dragon eggs.

And saying that dragon eggs would hatch in fire.

And her receiving them in one of the first episodes.

....Yeah, no sympathy for someone "spoiled" by that, really.

It's fandom secrets, get used to it. Now, if this was a [whatever the hell show that icon is from] community, then your bitching might carry some weight because most of those types of comms have spoiler policies. If you are really avoiding spoilers that desperately, then hole yourself away from the internet for a while (or at least from a place like fandom secrets where you are taking a chance of being spoiled for just about everything) like I do whenever a new Harry Potter book comes out.

Lastly, calm the hell down. Your reaction is way disproportionate to the offense. This too shall pass.

I don't think you've really thought this through.

Spoiling is one of the few things you can do to someone that's completely and irrevocably permanent. Once it's done, it can never be undone, or even really mitigated in any way. There aren't many offenses you can say that about (that you can do to someone over the Internet, anyway).

Their reaction was fine. It's not the biggest spoiler ever, but it's still a dick move to use it in an icon (on a comm with thousands of viewers, no less) the day after the episode runs.
