haha, I used to find chick tracts in my doctor's office. They are hilariously awful (especially the "Adapted for black audiences" versions they have. wtf?)

There used to be this really terrible one about a little girl whose father molested her and gave her an STD (and pimped her out to his friends) and the girl's doctor just told the dad that Jesus would stop him from hurting his daughter. And he didn't report it to CPS or anything like a normal person, he just let the dude go home and read a bible. And everyone lived happily ever after with no repercussions whatsoever. The tract was taken down though, I guess because even people who genuinely liked the tracts thought it was too awful

"Dark Dungeons" is still a classic.

I'm awestruck by him saying "Remember, Jesus hates Catholicism and calls her the Great Whore" and then citing Revelations, a book in which Jesus does not appear and that predates the founding of the Church, whether Catholic, Orthodox, or otherwise. Logic, he Does Not Have It.

Yeah, that's one of those really hard to find ones that isn't even on the website anymore. Like Chick Inc. disavowed any knowledge of it completely. There's another one about homosexuality that's similarly out of print and totally unavailable, and I really want it because there's a gay bar in it called GAY BAR and that is just awesome

Hm, misinterpreted the hell out of that then. That panel alone makes it look like the parents telling the kid off is a good thing. :/

The way the tracts work, if a ugly person is saying something, you can bet it's no good. Look at the dad's nose and facial hair! he's totally dark sided, man.

Yeah, anytime you see Bible verse quoted non-ironically on a cartoon, you pretty much want to avoid it.

Does anyone else get the impression that "He's gay," and, "50 years ago this would have been unthinkable!" are supposed to be quotes from Leviticus and Psalm 101:3?

Because that was my first impression, and I'm pretty sure it made this that much more hilarious.
