I have to agree, out of all of the asspulls in Sailor Moon this ranks as sort of minor. Certainly not as weird as the Trio or Zirconia magically becoming senshi. Or the laziness of making so many opponent teams which parallel the Inners in powers.

...Since you are mentioning Cosmos/ChibiChibi, I'll not only agree mightily, but I'll go on to say that I think all of the Stars season is just one giant incoherent asspull.

Ugh I agree, Stars should never have existed. However, the fandom goes absolutely nuts for Stars, and I honestly could not tell you why.
