4) Wow, that makes me totally NOT want to watch it. HINT: you want to pimp something, don't knock other things.

18) I NEVER DENYIED I WAS A SAP. GO YOU.

I never said I looked down on people just for liking Wing or Seed. It just bothers me when people won't at least sit down and try watching maybe a couple hours of it simply because it's not as pretty. I don't even expect everyone who watches it to like it. But when I hear people say things like, "I don't want to see the old one because it doesn't feel like Gundam without Wing characters," I think it's a little ridiculous since there would be no Wing without the original series. Plus, the newer ones do gank storylines from the original series, but a lot of people don't realize it because they've never seen the original one in the first place.

In short, I'm more bothered that people won't give it a proper chance because it's dated. Not that they like Wing or Seed better.

And the original took no ideas from anything else.

And what you said was reasonable. Dissing Wing and Seed wasn't. Why do you love the first one? What speaks to you about it? If you want people to watch it, them that.

I dunno, I just personally thought the way Wing mirrors the original with the Zechs/Heero/Relena deal was a little grating, right down to the mysterious, masked ace pilot with royal blood and a long lost sister who has an ideology that conflicts with his own. Except I thought the original was more interesting because at least the ace's sister in the original was actually a soldier who actually understood the hardships behind combat.

If you want to bring up things you feel the original series mirrored, I'm all ears. And I genuinely mean that, 'cause I'd be interested to know so I could check out those other series myself.

And, as I've said earlier, I'm not meaning to imply I think people should like the old one better the than the new ones. If it's not your cup of tea, it's not your cup of tea. I just think it's kind of lame that people won't sit down and watch some of it, if only to say they've seen it. I've seen all of the original, all of Wing, and at least a little bit of Seed, so I don't feel guilty for having an opinion about them.

um. That's not original, it's just a different way of doing things. Zechs/Heero/Relena is automatically different because of that key element.

And that's what storytelling is. Every single type of story has been told. All you can do is put a new spin on a story.
