4. It's hard to appreciate the original when you haven't watched the damn thing and have no way of getting it, because you aren't willing to cough up a billion dollars on eBay to get the box set. =| Why is liking the newer additions a sin?
5. REBOOT OMG ♥ ♥ ♥ I loved that show so much.
11. I don't know he is, but the guy in the black-and-white picture is hot.
And I totally agree with your taste in men, for the most part (the dude from Ghost in the Shell is kinda pushing it...)

I've played the fourth before, actually, but I didn't have time to get very far in it. x( It's at the top of my list for summer game rentals.

It is kind of annoying when people refuse to watch certain things just because the art isn't beautiful or because it's old, but there's nothing you can really do about it, so there's no use in getting angry. Gundam is a series but they're not connected (except for SEED and SEED Destiny, as far as I know) so it makes more sense to me as if you treat all the shows as different series. You can like your original Gundam, the new fans can like their Wing, and everyone's happy. The situation would be different if they were all related, but they're not. (I'm not sure if that made any sense to you, but yeah. It did in my head.)
That being said, it'd be a lot easier to recruit people if you didn't talk down about the fandoms they're already in. "If you like Gundam Wing, you might be interested in the original series too," works a hell of a lot better than "The original series is better than the crap you're watching, hands down."
But if they're that superficial, why would you want them in your fandom anyway? x(
