Ehhh, I wouldn't pay to see it. Redbox it, and con one of your friends to pay the dollar. It wasn't the worst thing ever, and Neil Patrick Harris makes it bearable, but, honestly, I was dying of laughter throughout the entire thing because it was so awful. I'm thinking about making a drinking game out of it, that's how bad it was.

oh ffs, i can see why this is a secret. this was a horrible of adaptation of (granted) a pretty decent book.

I could see why this was a secret. Even the book it was adopted from wasn't that good, but it's still an improvement upon the actual movie.

"Beastly" my ass. I find it hilarious what Hollywood considers ugly these days.

These days? I think this has been a trend. "Ugly" Betty? Fashionable scarred Phantom? Pretty boy Deadpool wile he's supposed to be disfigured?

But this has been going on for a while. But even in the olden days...a bit of effects & make-up made you "ugly" - but it was still a handsome person playing it. And that sort of shows. Honestly, you can't undo attractive bone structure unless you use some very drastic measures...and most Hollywood leads have very classically beautiful faces.

This was just my reaction when I saw the trailer to that movie. So... bald guys with tattoos are the epitome of ugliness now?

.... Methinks you need to check out other adaptions... cause even Disney did a better job than that.

I really, really, REALLY wanted to see this. I wonder if it's on Netflix or if it will be at any point...

Of course, my personal favourite is actually the Disney adaptation.

Umm... Well, it wasn't a terrible version, but it wasn't the best thing ever. There are bajillions of versions out there.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book was one of the most horrendous things I have ever read. So, I'll just go ahead and not agree with you. I only even considered seeing it because Vanessa Hudgens was in it, and that wasn't even enough to make me actively pay money for it and go to the effort of going out and getting it. Maybe I'll watch it when Netflix streams.

BTW, anyone else starting to wonder if that actor just has a thing for making movies from shit-tacular books? Because I Am Number Four was freaking painful to read.

I realize no one agrees with me but I actually preferred the book version, I thought it was one of the better modern adaptations of Beauty and the Beast.
