It may not be racist per se, at least not intentionally racist, but in most fandoms the biggest slash pairing is always between two white guys. I'm in a fandom where one of the leads is Latino and he appears in about 10% of all the slash fic that exists. The rest all focuses on a ship containing at least two of the three white leads.

Look for Static Shock, if you're into Superheroes at all. The cast is very diverse and oddly enough the (really only) two white guys don't get paired together often.

Lol, omg, I'm already into Static Shock. Needless to say Virgil/Richie is my OTP.

I've actually seen quite a bit of Hotstreak/Richie on ff.net, but when the main character of a show/book/whatever is nonwhite(as are a good chunk of the characters) the ships tend to be less white-boy oriented, which is a great thing.

+1 on the Static Shock rec. It's one of my favorite cartoons because it's so diverse and willing to tackle issues like gang violence, racism, gun violence, and mental illness.

I mean some of he episodes kind of beat you over the head with the moral, but I don't even care, I just have so much love for he show.

And it would have been cool if the WB had let Dwayne McDuffie, the show's creator (who is a pretty awesome guy in real life), let Richie come out as gay like his comic book counterpart. Instead, McDuffie just left vague hints.

Vague like how Virgil's girlfriend was openly jealous of Ritchie?

One would think the DCAU could have been more direct though, considering they already had Harley and Ivy going on. So strange to me how they had so many Serious Issues handled but didn't go for this. Maybe Ritchie was already an Issue Character what with his racist dad and how he got shot once and they didn't want to add to it, but eh.

It would have awesome if they could have been allowed to be more direct, but I guess actually saying the word "gay" on a kid's show would have caused the apocalypse or something. Though I did love the moments where they had Richie try really hard to assert his heterosexuality by awkwardly talking about how hot a girl was and Virgil would be like "Uh-huh, whatever you say man"
