i'm flabbergasted at anyone who doesn't get that all the movies started to suck after the first three.

Interestingly enough, I've heard lots of people say the same thing about the books.

no no but for reals, to each their own about the books (i have an alternating love/hate relationship with the OotP and DH novels) but honestly from a book-to-movie adaptation standpoint, all of the movies beyond the third movie were absolutely terrible in that respect. o_o painfully so..

I agree, actually. I wasn't crazy about the third movie myself, and I did enjoy OoTP and DH, but objectively speaking the first three movies are the only "good" ones. I guess because the books got longer it was harder to cram it all into a movie, but I don't believe that's an excuse to make things so confusing. I was only able to enjoy the later movies because I had already read the books, and I knew what was going on. I watched HBP with my uncle, and because he hadn't read the books I had to explain all the plot holes to him.
