You could have used better judgment, but dealing with a suicidal person isn't as simple as it might seem to the people saying "you should have called an ambulance" (wtf, what for?) or "force her into therapy". That could have had the exact same effect as your suggestion: no effect at all. You didn't prevent your friend from committing suicide, but you didn't cause it, either. You are not responsible for another human's life, and often when they've made their decision, it's final. You did what you thought was right at the time: you gave her a caring response. It was naive.
But what she did was not your fault. And you need to talk to someone about this-- an adult, a professional, someone who isn't going to blame you; because anyone in their right mind would never blame a person for another's suicide (unless that person was actively abusing the one who suicided, which clearly you were not).
