That's...an interesting point, actually. I never really liked her much, but that was because I thought she had the potential to be so awesome and they just didn't follow through on it. Like, she was never more than The Girl Dean Loves; she didn't get to be her own potentially badass character. And I get that that's because that relationship was never really sustainable because of his life and all, but I just wished we'd gotten to know her better. That being said, I don't think him being the best sex she's ever had was a function of her being lonely, I think that's just Dean being a total pimp. And I think she let him into her life because she believed in his good heart and saw how hard he fought to save Ben and the other kids, and she saw how lonely and miserable he was/is. At first I didn't like that whole "you go do your job and come back when you can make time for us" thing because it felt a little doormat-y and enabling, but then my dear mutantjules compared it to the life of a military wife, and of course I have a total Thing for tragic soldier boys and their romances, so that turned it around...anyway, I see your point, but I also see another side.
