I don't get the controversy here. You can be pro-choice and anti-abortion at the same time, last I checked, supporting the option is not the same as supporting the act.

I don't know much about the situation, but to be honest, I don't see how I could gain respect for her. It's her decision, and hopefully she made the right one, but the "question" is always whether the woman makes the right decision for her and the child or just her. Personally, I think I have the most respect for people who say out of those circumstances altogether. It's not like it's impossible.

So? What's incorrect about that statement? The fact that it is clearly impossible to not have sex, or the fact that people choose to have sex with only a condom which has, let's face it, slippage. Yes there are people who get pregnant while using multiple forms of birth control, but the numbers are way way down there.

for the record, the doc she made wasn't about her political opinions on abortion- it was about the actual psychological effects that abortion has on the women who have them and their families

I'm fairly sure most people who are talking about having more respect for her are talking about her courage in making the doc and talking frankly about her experience, not like, "woo, we fucking hate babies!"

Fair enough! I can see that and can understand respecting her more for that.

Some of the comments just seemed like "woo, sticking to beliefs" which struck me as "woo, pro-choice person having an abortion."
