i really wanted it because i wanted to see the movie. my friends at the time raved about the movie and i had asked if this was a good movie to see, especially since i haven't seen the series. they said it was basically a condensed version of the series anyway.

he had also convinced me that i secretly enjoyed it and that he had needs that needed to be taken care of and since my mother at the time was out of the country, because she's in the military, i was the only around who could.

Thank you for answering. I'm sorry that happened to you, and it sounds like an awful situation. I'd like to say again that I wasn't trying to blame you, and I realize that I should have worded the second half of my question better. I didn't understand the severity of the situation from your secret, which prompted the questions, but I can understand now why you feel the way you do.

i understand. i didn't really wanted to tell the world on the secret that i did do it. i was afraid people would call me a troll or an attention whore.

I'm really sorry you had to go through this. I responded further up the post, but I had a very similar thing happen to me, also with my stepdad. It's really a very fucked up situation to be in and you have my support and empathy. I just recently came to terms with it and it's been 9 years.

for the most part, i know he'll never get punished for it and i'll probably never get justice. but for the most part, i feel at peace with myself. i'm out of that situation.

I'm happy to hear that. I also found peace in someone who loves me and supports me wholeheartedly. We got married last year actually. <3

It can be tough in that situation (I also didn't get justice for mine) but I'm very relieved to hear that you're in a better place now. I think it was very brave of you to post in a public space, anon or not. I know from personal experience how tough it can be put yourself out there when it comes to something traumatic.

Oh, don't worry about them. That person is a complete douche. I can't believe they'd have the nerve to say something so awful, but then again, it is the internet.

And I completely agree with you. There is a weird thing that happens to your brain when you're in a situation like that and no one can know it as you did, because they weren't the ones that experienced it. Thankfully a lot of people who responded seem overwhelmingly positive and aren't just coming on here to trash-talk about shit they clearly do not understand.

We both are strong and will persevere! May we both have many happy years with those who love us.

i'm just glad it's only one anon who's doing it though. but yeah, exactly. they asked a question and assumed that it was a "trollolol" and i felt insulted for the trivialization of what happened to me back then. but i'm very thankful for the ones who do understand and are really good people.
