I don't get it. Are people upset because there's not going to be any girl on girl action or because someone made up stupid rules for how magical genderswap and sexuality works in this apparently dumb comic (that I haven't even heard about)?

No, people are upset because:

1) of the implication that a male-identified person is going to change over to a female gender identity without a hitch if his body is altered (which... just... I can't even)
2) of the implication that heterosexuality is part of being "100% female"

Just because it's ~magic~ doesn't mean it's divorced from real-world context.

I think everyone pissed about this has possibly not read the comic.

1) Ace isn't entirely comfortable with this change (and expressed it in other parts of the comic). However, Ace is also a werewolf, and is used to sudden and complete magical transformations -- in fact, he comments that being a girl isn't as bad in some ways, because at least he's not stuck with horrible furred wolf appendages.

2) I think what the author was trying (and failing) for is that Ace was a straight guy. When he was magic-swapped, he became a straight girl. Being 100% female is not what made him want boys; being 100% into the opposite sex is what makes him want boys now that he's a girl.
