Anyone else feel super dumb for not getting the riddle to enter the common room in HP7? I mean, maybe they made it harder cause it was McG and she's better than everyone, but still. I was like, '..Oh.'

Either way, I feel you, OP. So I never know what house I should belong to.

I do want to say, btw, that if I was suddenly introduced to this new and fantastic world that I was suddenly going to be a part of, I would want to learn ALL OF THE THINGS. I'll never understand why every Muggle-born wasn't like Hermione, because that is exactly how I would be, except maybe without the overachieving. That's one thing I didn't like about Harry as the narrator-- how he just didn't give a crap about some of the stuff that could have been pretty interesting (especially goblin wars, omg). So.. I don't know, maybe it is a bit Ravenclaw-ish of me. I would want to know everything possible.

THIS EXACTLY. That's the one thing I never got about Harry was the whole "Oh, Hermione, do my homework for me" and general lack of interest in learning. Maybe it's just his nature, but MAN if I got thrust into this magical world I'd be like "Of COURSE I like practicing this, it's MAGIC!"

I'd probably be the overachiever, though, not gonna lie. I'd beg like crazy for the time-turner so I could go to everything. Because I seriously want to take Muggle Studies for the comedy value.

Hell yeah! I just re-read the 7th book again and came across the riddle and I was waiting for the answer to come to me because I know I read this before, HOW COME I'M NOT GETTING THIS and then I gave up and read on. I was disappointed in myself for some reason. *snort-laugh* It made me want to be a Hufflepuff instead, to be honest. (The dorms are close to the kitchens! The awesomeness of convenient snackage~)
