Yeah, okay, that's fine and dandy, but I think you (and others like you who make similar comments) fail to realize that there really are girls out there who actually do like chick flicks and watching them with friends over a bottle of wine.

I mean, why else would they keep making them?

We're not obligated to like them though; it gets annoying when it's assumed that just because I'm a woman, I'll like 'chick flicks'. Some women do. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't. There's nothing wrong with that either.

I don't care that other people like them. I'm glad that other people like them. I just wish they'd stop staring at me like I'm nuts when I'd rather go see the film with the explosions.

Where do you see anybody failing to realize that girls exist who enjoy chick flicks? All I see are people commenting that they do not belong to that group of girls and are sick of people acting like it's some big surprise.
