I hate most of them too.

But I also have a really big embarrassment squick, and that seems to be the plot of most of them.

Oh god yes! Embarrassment squick!

I have such a huge case of second hand embarrassment I just die every time someone making a fool of themselves is what "pushes the plot forward" because oh dear lord it feels like I just made a fool of myself and everyone is laughing at me.

(It really makes it hard to watch movies for the most part, because even action movies will sometimes have embarrassment plot points and OH GOD NO DNW.)

omgthis~. My husband can't understand it at all, but my embarrassment squick/second-hand embarrassment is so strong it gets painful-- literally painful-- to watch even some TV shows sometimes.
