Why do you hate him? I think Di Caprio's a great actor. "Titanic" wasn't his highest point, but I admire him since I saw him in "Who loves Gilbert Grape?".

This. It was a James Cameron movie. Nobody does their best work in a James Cameron movie. Well, nobody in front of the camera, anyway.

Really? Granted, It's been a while since I've seen The Abyss, but even though I remember being very impressed with a lot of it (particularly when you take into account when it was made) the acting was pretty meh.
