Sometimes I just go ahead and talk to normal people about fic. Sure, most of them back away slowly, but at least I'm talking to someone.

(My dad thinks it's hilarious, for example. Even the time I admitted I used some of his old stories in a slash fic.)

There's also the fact that you'd have to do all the shopping, and cooking, and cleaning, etc, he'd be constantly "borrowing" your stuff, he'd ask you to do simple tasks he could do himself, you might be in danger from the various people who want to kill him...

Cynical anon is cynical.

I'm convinced that is Nick or Ellis were another ethnicity, the fandom would still ship them. And before L4D2 came out, Francis/Louis wasn't exactly uncommon. It wasn't wildly popular, but it also wasn't unheard of.

There's a lot of L4D pairings, and fanfiction for every one of them. Coach and Rochelle are by no means excluded from the smut.

Yeah, I might be able to beat that. I've considered making a comic based on my life and my friends. Probably spent a good two or three years working through possible plots. And then I realized that I wasn't the main character. And when I realized that I was the sidekick in MY OWN LIFE, well... that was sad.
