To #6: For the record, I hate having to shelve his books at work. :-( Too many copies, and the Young Adult section is already cramped.

To #7: Hmm. Obscure Points (TM). I'm pretty good at identifying anime, normally, but I don't have a clue about this one.

To #8: Whoops. Thought that was a Suikoden secret. The artwork is very similar. Oops.

To #9: You should. They're good for you! Don't eat too many, though. Vitamin A poisoning causes a mean case of the burning shits.

To #12: Whoops, thought that was Sai Kano for a second. My eyesight is really sucking, this morning.

To #17: At least they made a sequel. It'll remind folks that the originals were classics.

To #19: The characters in Bleach don't draw on the walls with permanent marker or hide poop around your house.

To #21: Totally understandable, especially if you're trying to date within fandom. -_- We've got issues.

To #24: The fantasy world's a nice place, but I don't make any money from it, and the real world wants rent. :-(

To #25: I'm reluctant to say it, but you're ... probably right. A lot of us couldn't get play if we were arcade machines. ^_^; But, as you say, that's why we're here!

Monster, from the Manga by Naoki Urasawa. The anime itself is circa 2004, the Manga the nineties. I recommend it, it lags in places but it's worth it.

'Monster' ruined me for all other anime/manga (well, okay, except 'Death Note', I read and enjoyed 'Death Note'...). It is simply mesmerizing and I'm always thrilled to find other fans. I've even written a simple, melancholy fic. I also made a music video. Seriously. Ruined me. For everything else.

My best friend and I are similarly obsessed and we will now gauge everything Josh Olsen writes/everything New Line Cinema produces as a barometer of how good the live action Monster movie will eventually be. But we just can't fathom who could ever convincingly play Johan.

I'm interested in the Live Action Movie too. Because it could be a amazing, or it could be like the DN Live Action and simply Fail.

7. Monster==best. anime/manga. ever. And absolutely, it has no/almost no fandom because there's just no touching it--like you say. Everything you could ever want it to do, it already does. And even the place where it ends is necessary.

I dont like ANY fans I know. :/ Because they all draw Cresply as a pretty boy anne rice reject and write him as a wuss. I was soooo happy with the series for having weird looking and generally ugly characters, but of course since they're vampires they're going to be transformed into Lestat.

#25- It's not that they're ugly. It's the fact that they have NO IDEA how to deal with other human beings, which is why they can't get laid. Getting laid is more a matter of social competence- ugly people get laid all the time if they're funny or charming. Socially inept people don't, unless they're like, supermodels or something, and even then prolly not because that level of good looks intimidates people from asking. Hence the immense amount of batshit in fandom.
