I really dislike how much they changed the character (what, snakes can't be heroes?), but for whatever reason, I can generally accept the movie version on its own (rather creepy, yet often funny too, IMO) merits. Possibly because that movie just has some great moments aside from that issue, with the elephant marching song and The Beatle vultures, to name two. So, I'll still watch it, but I would have liked to see the proper Kaa somehow, instead.
