no...and yes? like i said, it's the 25th anniversary series, so it is jammed with homages and allusions and all sorts of insider stuff, but it can also be viewed completely as a stand alone. if you've got time on your hands and don't want to dive right into it, i would watch Macross: Do You Remember Love? (the fabulous movie version of the first Macross series) and Macross Zero, a 5 episode OVA prequel to DYRL?, because those are the two series most plot related ones it draws upon, but you could definitely just start with Frontier and then work your way through the back canon, and then re-watch Frontier and appreciate much of it on a different level.

I only just discovered the NKOTBSB mashup from the American Music Awards last year, it was like my soul was lifted angelically into the air, ripped to shreds by random helicopter blades and then, after plummeting back to earth, was eaten by baby kitties that proceeded to fart sunshine and rainbows with the residual bits of awesome.

Which is to say it was rough in spots, and that killed my childhood a little bit, but I still loved it to pieces.

And even though I was a child of the 90s, I was always a little behind the curve on popular trends, so while the rest of my peers were geeking out over BSB and NSYNC, I was all about the New Kids.

I think I'll watch Frontier and then work my way through the back canon and do a rewatch aftewards. Reading/watching/hearing something twice and appreciating it both times but on different levels is actually one of my greatest pleasures reading/watching/hearing things in general.

I have flown a total of four times and every single time I've had the window seat that's next to the wing. On one flight I had to switch planes and both tickets were for this seat, and I wondered if people intentionally avoided this seat for that exact reason. Four out of four times?! I'm definitely blaming this for it.

I liked it. But whatever her reasons for dropping out, even if we never fully know or understand them, she screwed over people who gave her money for something she didn't deliver. And left her publisher to foot the bill and catch a lot of undeserved shit. Flaking out and not continuing a comic? Fine. Hardly the first time. But flaking out and not returning the money? Unprofessional.

Fuck her. I hope she never gets another chance, she doesn't deserve one.

Yeah, but the other end of it is... she'd be the best to sleep with (not a furry, not into pony love, I'm talking purely hypothetically). The crazy always seems to be the best in bed, and she's obviously an agile bouncy thing.

Though woe be to that lucky/unlucky first Pony. He will have serious exhaustion and dehydration by the time she's done.

25. Really? You think Remus is angstier in the movies than in the books? He has some pretty intense scenes, but I think it's usually just the situation that has him tense (battles, Order business). I did miss some of his friendship with Sirius in OOTP and the part where he announces Teddy's birth in DH. The Remus I remember from the books is pretty angsty throughout HBP and DH mostly ddue to his relationship with Tonks. Since that was all cut out and their relationship was portrayed as smooth and happy, I just see him as less angsty in those two films.

What? Um, I'm sorry, but you can't blame the translators for the purging scenes and jiggle physics. THAT's what I personally find tasteless.

Thank you anon! I'm totally going to check it out. My Spanish is next to non-existent, but I had a great time watching La Reina Del Sur and I've been hoping to find another telenovela to get into that wasn't your typical sort of story.

I'm glad you got my joke ^^. I actually am not much of a shipper, hence why I put that that in, because I know it's there, but I care little for it. Keith is my soft spot though, and I can enjoy both the cute and angsty fic for him.

He's a great guy, I can't imagine how anyone could not love him. Stilted acting and all.
