Eh, the ship has shippers enough. And the movie did better by them by not shoehorning in all the wangst. But then, since they bothered to keep it and Tonks in, why didn't they let her shine more? She was just... there. Doing nothin' but dying.

I need to see the movie again. Does she have that flaglooking outfit on in the movie? It's just bizarre looking.

A minor one, maybe. She does seem to cope and get on with her life/friends/work pretty well, so she's functional with whatever she has.

I have to admit I'm not a Lupin/Tonks shipper but a Remus/Sirius one. This is due to the books though, where both Lupin and Tonks just seem really unhappy about their relationship. The films made me appreciate this pairing more because they seemed happy with each other in the few scenes they had.

As for whether or not they're attractive...I think neither of them look pretty good in that picture. I think it has more to do with the wardrobe/hair styles than the actors themselves. In the final films they actually improved as well. David Thewlis is not conventionally attractive, but he looked good to me in DH 1 and 2, especially compared to the awful look (remember the mustache?) from POA.

25: I don't think most people don't ship it because of his looks. I haven't shipped it from the books, especially since I consider Tonks the most epic Mary Sue ever (introduced late, has a special power no one else has, can change her looks at will, is adorably clumsy but otherwise brilliant, everyone loves her, marries an important character). Also, you know, Lupin. Is gay.

People were shipping them as soon as Tonks appeared. Fan favorite guy + attractive-in-a-relatable-way twenty something gal? Yeah.

But it would have been bigger if they'd done more than be in the same room at the same time once or twice on page. It would have slowed down the juggernaught R/S ship too if the T/R ship hadn't been kept secret until the next book.

The phone call after Jack's shag sort of cleared that up. They've always had this tension but Jack was all 'But we have each other and that's all we need' and Gwen was like 'i don't know Jack-OMG! RHYS!!! OMG! BABY!!! Gurl, Bye, i have to go, idgaf about you' and Jack was all 'Gwen? Gwen? Gwen?' on the phone.

To me that was the way the show said to the new viewers 'She might have this tension with Jack but she loves her family and they'll always be first.
