I Am Completely Convinced Willy Wonka Is A Time Lord

I watched the 1970's movie a few days ago at work (I'm a camp counselor). I'm also a huge Doctor Who fan so of course I connected the dots. Gene Wilder!Wonka has:

- The wit and timing of a Doctor
- The silly fashion choices
- Companions in the form of the Oompa Loompas
- His very own TARDIS (the glass elevator)

What do the other anons think?

i read the glass elevator as a kid and his control of it was pretty terrible

and i guess charlie would fit the companion bill better

but generally that's a pretty cool theory

Makes at least as much sense as the "James Bond is a Time Lord" theory. And Wilder looks the part. Hell, he could wear Tom Baker's scarf.
