Too many fanworks in Hetalia, specifically the USUK pairing, do not take advantage of the fact that they are NATIONS for god's sake, which is probably the thing that sets Hetalia apart from other canon.

Why do people persist in writing the characters like they are just boyfriends from other countries?

RPS US politics fandom actually got me a job - I learnt so much from it about how politics works and the people involved that I shone so hard in my interview I made my employer excited.

But it also made me realize that wank is WAY harder to achieve because you're not really having a discussion, you're just sharing your thoughts with OP. I think the old system is more sincere in a way, but I really like the discussion atmosphere of the new set up . . . It's interesting!

Back in the mid 90's I anonymously trolled the David Bowie message board on his official site. There was a bit of an uproar over the spam attack so they created a secret message board on the site for the regulars.

They must have never logged IP address because I was one of the few regulars that was invited to this secret message board.

I didn't originally but there are a few fics out there that push my buttons in a really specific way, so I bookmark them and save them for later. But to clarify, the ones that really get me off aren't always the best written ones. What I look for to masturbate to doesn't always equal what I usually enjoy reading in a story.

I watched the 1970's movie a few days ago at work (I'm a camp counselor). I'm also a huge Doctor Who fan so of course I connected the dots. Gene Wilder!Wonka has:

- The wit and timing of a Doctor
- The silly fashion choices
- Companions in the form of the Oompa Loompas
- His very own TARDIS (the glass elevator)

I once read a review of the movie adaptation of The Spirit that described this phenomena. They said the movie was like a massive shit, but a satisfying one, that barely requires any clean up.

So I don't think it's strange lol although I've never done that myself!
