The first series of Yu-Gi-Oh has been ruined for me, I can't stand it thanks to my ex-partner. Been trying to stomach 5D's since Yusei shares the same voice actor as my favourite Turtle from the 4kids show.

My ex was really into the Vorkosigan books, but I never got into them. That was bad enough, but a while ago he posted a wanky secret about me and a Vorkosigan book, and that basically killed any lingering desire I had to read the series.

Death Note, HiNaBN, Sherlock, Heroes, Star Trek.
It was a really amicable, clean break up - externally. She was fine and went on her merry way but I was a complete emotional disaster. She is/was really into these fandoms, and I can't get within ten feet of them without still missing the everloving fuck out of her.

I left the furry fandom due to my ex. Also, Kingdom Hearts, although to a lesser extent - I lost interest in it about the same time.

this has totally happened to me. It will take awhile but I SWEAR dude it will totally get better. took over a year and a half for me but all the bad association completely just...passed and I could watch and read (AND LISTEN TO <333) all that shit I loved again.

It wasn't ruined to me forever, but for awhile I had issues with Saiyuki because my ex and I were heavily into the fandom together. In fact, it almost ruined one of the characters for me too.

I broke up with a friend of mine in a small games fandom. I still love that fandom, but I'm kind of reticent about sticking my neck out in it now because it is too awkward to imagine accidentally talking to her.

Yes. It's going to be a while before I can watch Ghost in the Shell again. Give it time though, I think after a while it won't matter.

pixar is ruined for me because of a recent ex :(
even looking at my toy story plate in the morning with breakfast reminds me of him and puts a bad taste in my mouth. and all these commercials for cars 2 merchandise bug me as well.
