I've tried reading Homestuck about three times now. But it's just so boring! The first two times I had to double-check I was reading the right comic because I just cannot believe people could find that slow-paced shit interesting! And then there are secrets in F!S where folks say they've cried when something dramatic happens. W.T.F.

I didn't even get far enough for the trolls to appear! I'm starting to believe there are no trolls. That the whole Homestuck is just a huge prank, and the fandom is some sort of evil conspiracy. They just try to lure other people into reading it, and then snicker to themselves when these simpletons try to paddle trough it raging with frustration.

here's a simple guide to how to approach homestuck as you sound a bit misled as to what it actually is

don't read it just for the trolls, they don't become main characters until quite a while in and reading it just for them ignores the other enjoyable parts

also the general advice is to read it up to [S]WV: Ascend and if you don't like it by then you'll probably never get into it

I think the only reason I eventually stuck it out was because I just got mad and was all 'FUCK YOU FUCKING MOTHERFUCKERS I WILL FIND THESE GODDAMN TROLLS IF IT FUCKING KILLS ME ASDLKFJA'

But then it turned out I kind of liked Rose, so I only really had to get as far as her STRIFE! with Mom to decide I could uncapslock and read patiently until act five.
