The return of BNF and others HP fans who left fandom years ago annoys me so much. Posts like "so happened in HP fandom in the last X years?", "rec me the best HP fics from the last".
I guess I'm a fandom puritist and someone who's left shouldn't be able to take a fandom shortcut and just act like they didn't abandon fics and their f-list.
Oh, and I never liked Tom Felton much but after seeing him on Conan O'Brien's and how he handled being confronted with those fanmade Harry/Draco manips of him and Dan, I like him more than ever.

Never been active in HP fandom, so I can't comment on the returning wave, but, uh...

Do you have a link to that clip with Tom Felton? Because people showing celebrities fannish stuff totally triggers trainwreck syndrome for me. XD

I'm not a HP fan, and I've never been one, but a friend of mine who likes Draco showed me that clip and it made me like him a lot too. The entire cast seem like really great people, tbh.

Watched the clip and laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. I remember Elijah Wood had to go through the same thing with the Sam/Frodo manips and I give them credit for handling fandom insanity so well.
