When I win the lottery and can hire someone to write fic for me, I would have them write me library AU fic for days.

Daemon AUs are like crack to me. I am of the firm belief that no fandom is complete without at least one (and in a perfect world, all fandoms should be like Sherlock where there are like twenty).

God yes, daemon AUs. I've only read one, but it got me hooked on the universe.

Other favourites: modern day AUs, I guess, especially high school/ university ones if they're well done. For ages I've been working out a modern-day AU where everyone has superpowers, which is a complete mess but fun when you try to stick in every character and fandom ever.

Space AUs?

Idek, with me they border on pan-fandom crossovers, so.

Amnesia fic. I know it's the most cliche thing ever, but god help me I love it so much

And fics based off of Fairy Tales (For example, I read a Eureka fic that was based on the Snow Queen once that was pretty good)

I also like the opposite where character A doesn't remember they were in a relationship with Character B, so they have to be ~wooed~ again and the power of love brings back their memories (so cheesy but I don't even care)

My most favorite trope ever is two people on opposite sides in a conflict/interest clas/political argument are in a comitted relationship. Two things are required: 1) they truely, deeply love each other and 2) the conflict/difference is a big one that cannot be resolved.

There were some fics in the Stargate fandom that came close. Daniel being a liberal academic, and Jack being a pro-military guy with battle experience.
